Description
Located along the vibrant Coolsingel, this state‑of‑the‑art office building welcomes both tenants and visitors with a central reception area, coffee bar, and EDGE Workspaces facilities, including an auditorium, company restaurant, and various meeting rooms. The building was designed by the Rotterdam‑based architecture firm NUDUS and is inspired by the work of J.J.P. Oud, the architect of the building that previously occupied this site.
A wood‑clad atrium connects the first six floors, creating a sense of openness and activity that is visible from the outside. On the first floor, a shared terrace offers panoramic views of the Coolsingel and City Hall, while an exclusive private rooftop terrace crowns the tenth floor. The building comprises 21,500 m² of high‑quality office space.
Thanks in part to its hybrid structure of wood, steel, and concrete, the building meets the highest sustainability standards. EDGE Coolsingel will be delivered with BREEAM Excellent and WELL Platinum certifications, is Paris Proof, and will become Rotterdam’s first “Net Zero Carbon” office building.
Situated in the heart of the Central Business District, EDGE Coolsingel is easily accessible by both car and public transport. Rotterdam Central Station is a short walk away, and a metro stop is located directly in front of the building. For motorists, more than 150 reserved parking spaces are available in nearby garages less than a one‑minute walk away. The surrounding area also offers a wide range of shops and restaurants, with the Koopgoot, Beursplein, and Stadhuisplein just around the corner.
