New lease agreements for Navus CEA Enterprises

4 Dec 2024 | Deal

Navus CEA Enterprises and Ridder have recently entered into a strategic partnership. As part of this collaboration, new long‑term lease agreements have been concluded for Ridder’s two commercial buildings in the Netherlands. These include a commercial property of approximately 12,807 m² located at Honderdland 131–137 in Maasdijk, and a commercial property of approximately 25,453 m² located at Lorentzstraat 32–38 in Harderwijk.

Following earlier successful co‑investments in companies such as Blue Radix and Metomotion, Navus will further strengthen Ridder’s position as a global innovator in the horticulture sector. This partnership enables Ridder to invest more in its product lines while benefiting from Navus’ expertise, insights, and network. Navus sees strong potential in Ridder’s vision and fully supports its strategic direction. With Navus as co‑shareholder, Ridder reinforces its market position and gains additional momentum to pursue its ambitious goals. Both companies are committed to supporting Ridder’s mission as a leading and innovative company in the Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) industry.

This is a positive development for Ridder,” says Pascal Piepers, CEO of Ridder. “We remain true to who we are and can now fully focus on what we do best. Together, we will accelerate and deepen our efforts to realize our shared vision and strengthen Ridder’s position as a global innovator in CEA.”

We believe in a sustainable future for food production, in which horticulture plays a major role,” says Eduard Meijer, Managing Director of Navus. “This new partnership with Ridder reinforces Navus’ goal of supporting the transition to a sustainable food production industry across different market segments. This partnership fits perfectly with our ambition.
