Blaak 555 welcomes WEC Lines as a new tenant in the iconic office building in the heart of Rotterdam. WEC Lines will move into the building in early 2027, where it will lease 2,621 m². Housing Anywhere, the current tenant of this office, will relocate to another location in Rotterdam later this year.
WEC Lines is a Rotterdam‑based Dutch shipping company specializing in intermodal container transport. With more than 50 years of experience, the company focuses on high‑frequency, sustainable container solutions connecting Northwest Europe, the Iberian Peninsula, the Canary Islands, and North and East Africa.
Caesar Luikenaar, Managing Director of WEC Lines, explains: “The move to Blaak 555 is an important step in our strategic direction. After more than 30 years in Rotterdam’s Waalhaven, we want to relocate to the city center next year. Blaak 555 is situated in the most attractive part of the city, with all amenities right at the doorstep. This allows us to offer our employees an inspiring work environment that will serve us well for years to come.”
Blaak 555 is a multi‑tenant office tower in the city’s Central Business District. The building comprises a total of 28,500 m² of office space across 28 floors. It offers its 19 tenants a full range of amenities in the shared areas of the building. With the arrival of WEC Lines, the building remains fully leased. After the summer of 2026, an office space of 897 m² on the 16th floor will become available.
