Weverskade Vastgoed has acquired the Holbeinhuis at Coolsingel 65 in Rotterdam from SRLEV N.V., a subsidiary of Athora Netherlands. With this acquisition, Weverskade adds one of Rotterdam’s most recognizable and historic post-war reconstruction buildings to its growing portfolio. The Holbeinhuis is situated in an absolute prime location opposite Rotterdam City Hall and has recently undergone a comprehensive renovation and sustainability upgrade.
The Holbeinhuis comprises approximately 6,100 sqm of high-quality office space and includes 43 parking spaces. The building is configured as a modern multi-tenant office and offers representative office floors, flexible meeting facilities, communal areas, a mezzanine, and attractive roof terraces.
In recent years, the building has undergone an extensive transformation, preserving its historic appearance while investing in quality, comfort, and sustainability. As a result of this renovation, the Holbeinhuis holds a BREEAM Excellent certification and an A++ energy label, making it one of the most sustainable office buildings in Rotterdam’s city center.
The Holbeinhuis was originally designed in the 1950s by Kraaijvanger Architects and is considered one of the first office buildings developed on the Coolsingel during the post-war reconstruction period. The combination of architectural quality, a unique inner-city location, and excellent sustainability credentials makes the building a particularly valuable addition to Weverskade’s portfolio.
“The Holbeinhuis has been an icon in Rotterdam for many years. We are proud to add this beautiful building to our portfolio. The combination of its unique location, high-quality renovation, strong leasing situation, and excellent sustainability credentials makes this an investment that perfectly aligns with our vision for real estate.”
