The project concerns a plot of more than 7,000 m² that forms part of the Roer‑Barbizon area development in Capelle aan den IJssel. The former office park will be transformed into a vibrant new residential neighborhood in the coming years. The location, currently used as a conference center, offers over 12,000 m² GFA of development potential.
The partnership aligns well with Sustay’s ambitions. Frank Pieper, Director at Sustay, explains: “Across the country, we face the challenge of a major shortage of affordable housing. For the Roer‑Barbizon area development, we share a strong joint ambition, and Sustay once again has the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to reducing the shortage in the affordable segment.”
The owner was commercially advised in this partnership by MADE Real Estate and legally by NautaDutilh. Sustay was legally represented by Straatman Koster Advocaten.
